Here's why were psyched for Sam & Cat (and you should be, too)
Featuring two of our fave funny gals, Jennette McCurdy (iCarly’s Sam Puckett) and Ariana Grande (Victorious’ Cat Valentine), Sam & Cat follows the girls as they become BFFs and (LOL) roomies. They have all sorts of crazy adventures and even start a babysitting service together, so right off the bat you know that’s one recipe for non-stop laughs. Why else are we excited for Sam & Cat? Read on for a list of reasons we’ll def be watching this series all summer.
1. Two is better than one
For starts, we loved watching Sam on iCarly and Cat on Victorious. But we can't wait to see them team up and take the lead on their own show! When the two come together, it’s like double the fun, so we’re sure they’ll have tons of crazy adventures with each other.
2. Why can't we be roomies with our besties?
We’ll admit, we wish we could live with our BFFs 24/7 because then we’d always have them to lean on when we’re down. This is why we’re A. totally jealous that Sam and Cat get to be roomies and B. glad they get to live together. It’s like the ultimate everlasting slumber party!
3. They’re Eccentric and We Adore That
Sam and Cat are never afraid to be themselves around each other…and everybody else for that matter. Just wait ’til you see how they snag a lifetime supply of free cheeseburgers in the first episode. Sure, these two are a little larger than life, but that’s what makes this show so fun. We heart seeing them be true to themselves and their friendship.
4. Babysitting Adventures
Sam and Cat are some wild babysitters. When they realize they can start a babysitting service to make money together, they don't hesitate for a sec. Even though they sometimes forget that they are supposed to be babysitting, it's kinda funny because they end up taking the kids with them on adventures.
5. Dice and Nona
These are two characters you’re going to love from the very first episode. Dice is Sam and Cat’s neighbor, and a very serious gossiper. He’s well connected with other people in the apartment building and always adds excitement to Sam and Cat’s lives. Nona is Cat’s super adorbs Grandma. She’s fun-loving like Cat and loves her new life in Elderly Acres.
6. Sam and Cat are the best BFFs
We heart a friendship like Sam and Cat’s. They're the best type of BFFs because they balance each other out. They're total opposites (Sam is sassy and Cat is a little flighty), but it works because they look out for each other while having a blast.
7. Awesome guest stars pop up
In true Nick fashion, expect cameos from some familiar faces. Two of our faves popping up in the weeks to come? Sophia Grace and Rosie—which we like to consider as a mini Sam & Cat.
Be sure to check out Sam & Cat when it premieres this Saturday at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Then come back and let us know your thoughts.
