#TunesTuesday: The Girl and the Dreamcatcher's "Make You Stay"
We can’t get enough of the pop duo and IRL engaged couple Dove Cameron and Ryan McCartan, who you probably know from the Disney Channel show Liv and Maddie.
The Girl and the Dreamcatcher, the band they formed together, recently released a music video for their catchy and cute song, “Make You Stay,” and we have been hitting replay ever since.
The video, shot in a split-screen style, shows Dove and Ryan as two characters who are just friends, living separate lives. However, as the video progresses, we see their sweet friendship start to develop into something more… at least once Dove and her awful on-screen boyfriend (played by Dove's Cloud 9 costar, Luke Benward!) call it quits. Dove and Ryan’s chemistry is beyond adorable, and their complementary vocals are music to our ears.
Check it out.
Dove and Ryan have been making our hearts melt ever since we saw them get together on Disney Channel, so we were *thrilled* to hear about their engagement announcement earlier this year. 2016 will continue to be a crazy time for the pair—especially since a wedding isn't the only project in the works. The pop duo also announced that they will release their debut EP, Negatives, this July, with track titles like "Shoulda Made You Mine," "Gladiator," "I Really Hate Parties" and "The Heat."
Later this year, Ryan is set to star as a lead in Fox’s Rocky Horror Picture Show, while Dove will be busy filming the fourth season of Liv and Maddie and the sequel to Disney's Descendants. We can’t wait to see what this couple accomplishes next, both together and in their independent careers.
Have you watched the new music video? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
