Fifth Harmony's latest vid takes girl power to a new level

Time to get your cape on, girls. At least that's what Fifth Harmony wants you to do, with the vid for their new single "That's My Girl". Our favorite girl group teamed up with DC Entertainment to create the first-ever DC Super Hero Girls music video featuring Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl, Bumblebee, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Katana.

We chatted with Dinah Jane Hansen from Fifth Harmony to get the deets on the new video. Watch it below and then check out why we *heart* the empowering message behind it (plus, CLICK HERE to start your own DC Super Hero Girl adventure!):

GL: How is "That's My Girl" different from anything else you've recorded?

Dinah: This song is us cheering on all of our girls around the world saying "You can do it, you are my girl and I'm right here with you". I feel like that's a song we haven't done yet with each other and we're so happy that girls feel empowered by it. We want them to know how strong they are.

GL: What inspired the new music video collaboration?

Dinah: Well, the cool thing about us (Fifth Harmony) and DC Super Hero Girls is that we carry the same message of girl power. We felt like this project was a great way to bring that message to life and share it with the world. It was really important to us as a group.

GL: If you could be any super hero, who would you be?

Dinah: *Laughs* Oh my goodness, it's so hard to choose. I love them all! But I'd probably pick Supergirl because her strength is amazing. Plus, one of her powers is the ability to fly and I've always wanted to be able to do that.

GL: What do you hope other girls and your fans take away from the video?

Dinah: There's an important message in the song and in the video that sometimes you fall down but you just have to get back up, and not only that, but be stronger than before. All the girls out there going through tough times need to hear about self-love and respect and inner strength. The DC Super Hero Girls are such great role models too because they never give up and they use their powers for good.

Your turn, GL gals. Which super hero girl would you want to be IRL? Let us know in the comments below!
