Taylor Felt reminds us that we're all "Human Beings"
There is a *lot* happening in politics right now, and it probably seems that everyone at your school and in your social media feed has an opinion about what's right and what's wrong.
Any you know what? That's OK. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. From clever signs to witty hashtags, some are getting creative about how they share their thoughts surrounding this tumultuous time in America. But if you don't want to Tweet about it or participate in a march, there are other ways to make your voice heard. You could, for example, put them into a song. This week, Taylor Felt, the 15-year-old singer/songwriter from Connecticut, did just that.
On Thursday, Taylor posted an original, powerful song, "Human Beings," to her YouTube channel, saying, "I wrote this song to help be a reminder to everyone that we are all human beings with a heart and soul and we should unite and help each other, not create more negativity and hate." Now *that's* a message we can get behind—listen below.
Taylor's words remind us that we must try to see people as more than just their political or social beliefs, and remember that we are all *one* people. Above all else, being kind is important.
What do you think of Taylor Felt's new song? Are you concerned about all of the events happening in politics right now? Share your thoughts below.
