Must List

The ultimate REgifting guide (yes, we said it!)

Picture this: it’s the night before your Secret Santa exchange but you don’t have a gift. What do you do? Regift!

It might seem silly at first, but regifting is *totally* acceptable and normal. Maybe your friend loves your sweater or would appreciate thoughtful goodies. If you're thinking about regifting, there are a few general guidelines that you should follow to make it a great experience for you *and* your loved ones.

Avoid regifting within the same circle of friends

This could be awkward if one of your friends gives you a present and you give it to someone else in your friend group. It’s best to regift between people who might not know one another so you don’t accidentally offend anyone!

Rewrap everything including packaging and wrapping paper

No one wants to know that their gift was regifted! Pick out wrapping paper or a gift bag that your BFF would *love*. Wrap it nicely with the cutest bow, and you’re good to go!

Be meaningful

Don’t regift just because you don’t want it, but because you know someone else will appreciate it! Make sure you have the recipient in mind when deciding whether to pass off an unused present. It will make the gift that much more special to the person you give it to.

It’s best to only regift new, unused items

If you've already used that new eyeshadow palette or taken the tags off of those cute booties, you should probably keep them for yourself instead of regifting them. You clearly like the item, and you can *def* find something fun for your friends that doesn’t have wear and tear markings all over it.

If you don’t know where to start, we have the *best* regifting ideas for you!

If your friend *loves* lotions, fragrances and body care, they will love this gift. Did you get a Bath and Body Works set that you know will get lost in your cabinet with all of your other products? Give it to someone who you know loves the scent (and will definitely use it more than you!).

2. Clothing items

Did someone gift you the *cutest* sweater but it’s not your color? If you know your BFF would *love* it, regift it to her with the sweetest personal note.

3. DIY gift basket

Do you have extra knicknacks from past gifts that you haven’t touched? Use your random pairs of fuzzy socks, lip balms, cute themed mugs and accessories to create a custom gift basket for your friend with all of her favorite things.

4. Gift cards

Maybe someone sent you a Starbucks giftcard, but you don't drink coffee. If someone sends you a gift card to a store that isn’t your style, you can regift it to a friend who will be *so* excited for her next shopping spree! You can do this with any gift card—they will appreciate the thoughtfulness!

5. Random gifts

During the holidays, you might get a gift that you *just* don’t like. It could be a random gift or a novelty item. Add it to your friend’s gift for an extra touch. And if they don’t love it, they can regift it to someone else!

They're the gifts that keep on giving!
