Everything you need to know about Maisie Peters

Maisie Peters is about to be your new fave artist—if she's not already, that is. The now 22-year-old English singer-songwriter started writing songs when she was just 12 years old. Since then, she's taken the music world by storm, selling out shows, performing in stadiums and amassing a dedicated fan base.

With new music dropping in 2023, now's the time to get on board. Here's everything you need to know about the rising popstar in preparation for MP2.

Her songs are super relatable.

Maisie's debut album You Signed Up For This was released in August of 2021. Featuring a mix of pop and indie sounds, the album tells stories about new relationships, confusing exes and everything in between.

Since then, she's also dropped a few singles, incorporating some pop-rock aspects into the mix. She delivers clever and vulnerable lyrics, packaged in upbeat songs you'll want to scream-sing along to at your next bestie hangout (Srsly, give "Cate's Brother" a listen.)

She's also a huge Taylor Swift fan and cites Taylor's songwriting skills as an influence in her own early songwriting days. With tons of memorable lines and catchy choruses, Maisie's music is a must for fans of Tate McRae, Olivia Rodrigo and, yes, Taylor Swift too.

She's currently on tour.

If you're looking to see Maisie live, she has *lots* of tour dates coming up in 2023. Recently, she has been touring with Ed Sheeran (and is also signed to his record label, Gingerbread Man Records). She'll be joining him in the U.S. again in August through September after touring in Europe and Great Britain this summer. From what we've seen, her performances look like *so* much fun.

And most importantly, a second album is coming.

On Wednesday, Maisie announced on Insta that her new album, titled the good witch, will be out June 16.

She says the 15 songs on the tracklist "feel like spells, some of them manifestations, some of them hexes and curses and charms of protection." Sounds exciting, tbh.

The new witchy era kicked off on January 27, with the release of its first single, "Body Better." In an Instagram post, she says that the song is one of her favorite things she has ever made.

Being that the single was our first peek at what the new album has in store, we have a *lot* to look forward to from Maisie in 2023. We can't wait to see what comes next!
