Unlock all the mysteries Emily's Dress and Other Missing Things has to offer

Claire’s last year has been tragic. Not only did her mom die, but her best friend also went MIA. Plus, her father packed them up and headed to Amherst, MA.

After all that, Claire’s only goal is to complete her last year of high school so she can finally start over and move on from her grief. To help her cope, she retreats into the poetry of Emily Dickinson, whose old home happens to be nearby.

After a class trip to her home, Claire starts slipping into the building after hours and writing in her notebook. She appreciates the alone time in the home, because that’s where she feels especially close to her mom.

One night, Claire’s former student teacher, Tate, is also at the museum. Tate sets off the alarm, while Claire is wearing Emily’s dress. Now, the pair is on the run with a stolen dress on their hands. Claire quickly finds out that Tate isn’t all he appears to be—he has quite a few secrets of his own. And things get twice as complicated when the missing persons case for Claire’s best friend is reopened—and they still think Claire knows where he is.

Emily’s Dress and Other Missing Things by Kathryn Burak (in stores today!) is a fast-paced mystery novel that is riddled with poetry. Follow Tate and Claire as they try and figure out what happened to her best friend and how they can get the dress back to the museum.
