You Wrote It
Monday read: "My Grandmother's Yard" by a GL reader
My Grandmother's Yard
in the place where
my mother grew
there was a beautiful house
and a porch that my Grandfather
built with the gravestone in the
back where they buried a pet
and when this house grew
old she vanished and grass
was planted in my Grandmother's
yard and all their memories
are still there
oh how I long to put
flowers in my
Grandmother's yard
