Dear Carol: My BF dumped me on FB

 
I met a guy over winter break, and we started going out. We live in different parts of the country but then I recently found out we had broken up when I read that he changed his relationship status to “single” on Facebook. My friends have been really supportive, but that was lame of him, wasn’t it?

 

Dear Facebook Brokenhearted,

 

Lame and cowardly. He should have phoned or written. It’s totally natural that you feel sad, but maybe he did you a favor. Who wants a cowardly boyfriend anyway? A nearby BF might be more fun than a faraway one. When you’re ready, I’ll bet you can stir things up with a boy who’s closer to home.
