5 healthy ways to get over him

We’ve all been there: Sitting in your PJ’s with your bestie and a pint of Ben &Jerry’s, crying your eyes out. But let’s be honest, tears and pity parties only get you so far. There’s a better way, a healthier way, to move on.  It’s time to quit thinking about him and start focusing on Y-O-U.

So long, Mr. Wrong. Hello, new and improved you!

1. Get healthy
Get your heart beating fast again…but this time, without the guy. Burn off all your negative energy by doing an exercise you heart. It’ll get your mind off things for a bit, not to mention get you one step closer to that perfect bikini bod. Trust us, you’ll feel SO much better afterwards.

2. Clean your room
Still listening to that playlist he made you? Hanging on to that photo album you wanted to give him for V-Day? Get rid of it. That’s right, all of it. Grab everything that reminds you of him and trash it (or at least box it up and ask your BFF to keep it out of sight). Wanna go one step further? Clean and rearrange your room for a fresh start.

3. Try something new
Always thought you’d be a great class prez? Been too nervous to try that pixie cut you’ve wanted for forever? Now’s the time to let go of those old fears that are holding you back and plow straight ahead into the future. Put your wildest dreams in motion and go for it! Not quite so daring? Try a new type of cuisine or finally take that kickboxing class.

4. Splurge a bit
You’ve been eyeing that adorable dress for ages. It’s a bit out of your price range, but seriously, it looks so great on you. Go ahead, girl, treat yourself. Don’t go breaking the bank, but dishing out a few extra bucks for something that makes you feel fab about yourself is totally worth it. Enjoy!

5. Hit the books
Without the guy, you’ve got a little extra time on your hands. Instead of wasting it on Facebook, do something productive. Read a book you’ve wanted to check out or take up a new hobby you’ve been dying to try. Who knows, you may just stumble upon a new passion—one that’s all about you and so not about him.
