How to deal with a crush that still talks to his ex


 
I really like this guy, and he likes me. He comes to my house a lot, but his ex still calls him. I asked him why he won’t tell her not to call, and he said he doesn’t want to. That made me mad, and then he got mad at me for bringing her up!
 

Dear Unsure,

Would you want someone telling you whom you could or couldn't talk to? If he were your boyfriend (which is not currently the case), then you could expect him not to go out with other girls. But monitoring a guy’s phone calls is a great way to scare him off. Don’t bring her up (since it gets you jealous and him annoyed), and focus on your friendship with him rather than his relationships with others.
