10 tips for texting your crush

Admit it. Ya totally dig him! You could not be more excited that the two of you exchanged numbers... finally! Only prob is you've got no idea what to say. No worries -- he’ll think your a total texting Q-T in no time with these tips.
1. Start the convo off right
We know it's tempting to start off your chat with a simple “hey, what's up?” but, HELLO, can you say boring? 'Cause your crush sure can! Try referencing an inside joke or something you guys have in common in a playful way. For example, if you guys were chatting about his t-shirt, you could text him something like, “My baby cuz is wearin the same shirt u were wearing Friday... same size too :P”
2. Why so serious?
This is the total golden rule of texting. Keep your convo light, fun and playful. Leave the serious talk for real life.
3. Poke a li'l fun
To keep your convo fun, don’t be afraid to tease your guy a tad -- nothing that’ll hurt his feelings though.
4. Keep it short
Make sure your text is no longer than two sentences. Anything longer comes off too strong.

5. Don’t curse or be inappropriate
You want to come off as girly and cute. If you swear or say anything vulgar, your guy will find you as neither.
6. Switch up how long it takes you to reply
We're not talking about sitting by the clock determining an exact time to text your crush back. Be genuinely busy and check your phone when you get a free moment.
7. Show your funny side
You don’t have to be a stand-up comic to make a few jokes. Every text should make him smile. Remember that!
8. Don’t let your friends text for you
This is soo hard not to do, but you can’t let your friends text for you. After all you want your crush to have a thing for you, not your pals.
9. Don’t over think your replies
Okay, you are allowed to tweak a reply a li'l, but don’t overdo it. You want your texts to come off as natural.
10. Don’t sext!
C’mon, you are better than sexting! Don’t ever send a pic to a guy or say anything inappropriate. You don’t know who goes through his phone -- even if he tells you it's just him.
