Should you let your besties play matchmaker?

Everyone is telling me that a guy likes me. I think so, too. My friends are going to ask him. Should they? It’s not really bothering me, but it’s bothering them. Should I tell them not to?

Hey girl! First of all, don’t stress. You’re a lucky girl—you have great buds that want you to be happy and are willing to help you get the guy. Plus, there’s a possible romance brewing. Letting your BFFs do some scouting might seem like the easy fix to this sitch. But just beware, because sometimes news gets jumbled up in transit. Playing telephone should be left to the playground, dontcha think?

Your best bet is to be bold and go straight to the source. Guys love a girl who takes charge, and he’ll be thankful that he didn’t have to work up the nerve to tell you how he feels. Next time you see him, drop subtle hints. Being too straight-forward might make him close up.

If he’s not picking up on your clues, say it more directly. And if you find out he doesn’t like you, chin up! You took a risk and showed off your maturity. So, move on and use your newfound confidence to start a new romance.
