DIY glitter leaves for an instant autumn vibe

It's no secret that we're garland-obsessed girls. Right now, we're cooing over these glitter-adorned leaves, which would look darling on your wall or to add a fall feel to your next fete. Here's the easy how-to...

What you need:

Fake leaves (get 'em a craft or dollar store)

Glitter

Glue

Paint brush

Ribbon

Glue gun

Scissors

Paper plate and newspaper (to work over)

What you do:

1. Lay out the newspaper to cover your work surface.

2. Use the paint brush to cover 1-2 of the fake leaves in glue. While the glue is still wet, shake on enough glitter to cover the leaves (this is when it's helpful work over a paper plate, to catch the stray sparkles).

3. Keep working until you've covered 15-20 leaves. Feel free to do fewer if you want a shorter garland...and more if you want a longer one. Let all the leaves dry.

4. Cut about 9 feet of ribbon. Use the hot glue gun to glue the leaves to the ribbon (be careful when working with heat!). Once the glue has dried, hang your garland up using tacks to keep the ribbon in place.

Wanna make more? Indoor s'mores make summer last a little longer (campfires! BFFs!), but can be baked up without stepping into the chilly air. Here's one of our fave marshmallow-y recipes, which would be ideal for a Halloween bash.
