Make Your Weekend Instantly Fun!

Can’t wait ’til the bell rings on Friday? We hear ya. This weekend, avoid bein’ bored (and plunking yourself in front of the TV) with our fast ‘n’ fun ideas. Get ready to have a blast…and grin from now ‘til Sunday!

Do an Orange Pedi
Ah, tangerine dreams. Right now, nails that are drenched in jazzy orange feel fresh. They’re especially fun on your tootsies (can’t ya picture them peekin’ outta sandals?). File your nails, buff and then paint away. Pretty as can be, right?

Plan A Wiffle Ball Tourney
OK, this might sound a little crazy, but hear us out. Last week someone sent a book called Wiffle Ball: The Ultimate Guide. Who knew a sport so simple needed a guide? Either way, it’s such a funsy activity for a spring afternoon.

Round a few of your friends for this weekend or next and play some serious Wiffle ball. Get into it by rockin’ wacky uniforms (tie-dye vs. polka dots, perhaps?) and serve up brownies for when everyone is done batting. Don’t dig the game? Try kickball, dodge ball or an intense Man Hunt sesh.

Swap Some Books with Your Besties
The summer sun’s almost shining, which means one thing: beach reads! May is Get Caught Reading Month and as much as we’d like to stock our shelves with tonsa new books, that isn’t always an option. Sift through your bookcase for a few reads you’d be OK getting rid of. Have your besties do the same. Get together…and trade away.

Rock a Nautical Piece
Navy ‘n’ white stripes, red shoes, anchor details—this season’s shipshape trend is ultra pretty. Test your toes in it this weekend with a cute tote. This one from Aero is cute. Or, get creative with a plain canvas bag and add on a snappy nautical patch (hit the craft store). Aye-aye!

Make Something Pretty…

…and give it away.

Sounds counterintuitive, but working on a cool project actual gets sweeter if ya give it away. You don’t need to be super-craftastic to get all DIY. Bake up a strawberry rhubarb pie for an extra-special aunt or collage a postcard for a friend from camp. Write a thoughtful note and drop off your creation. Awww….
