Silent night sleepover

Amid all the hustle and bustle the holiday season has to offer, we’re betting you’re jonesin’ for a bit of calm and quiet. Invite a few of your sweeties over for a sleepover that’ll have ya rested, restored and ready for some holiday fun.

Pick your pals

Sure, having your closest baker’s dozen of babes over is a bucket of laughs, but for this slumber party, choose just a few chicas. Pick ‘em wisely. You want buds who already know each other and get along well so you don’t have to play monkey in the middle. Got a diva in your group? Consider leaving her off the invite. You won’t miss the drama.

Serene setting

Tidy up your bedroom and bathroom so clutter won’t drive you crazy. Toss around throw pillows and blankets by the bushel, and set out some refreshments (think: fruity sodas, crunchy crudités and some chocolate-covered dried fruit).

Chill. Out.

Do yourself a favor and ditch the schedule. Ask M&D to heat up some homemade chicken noodle soup for you to nosh on, and keep other bites indulgent but healthy. If you wanna play a game or get crafty, go for it, but there’s nothing wrong with painting your nails, watching movies all evening or chatting. Tonight is all about unwinding.

Tube time

Zen out to your favorite flicks. Try a Disney Princesses marathon if you’re feeling nostalgic, a Drew Barrymore trio if you wanna fall in love or some old Katherine Hepburn black-and-whites. Don’t forget the popcorn!

Fun favors

Keep the instantly chill mindset moving  through the new year by sending your sistahs home with bubble bath gift bags. Do the DIYs (deets HERE) during your party, or prepare everything in advance for party perfection.
