MAKE IT CUTE

Parties

Throw an epic end-of-summer bash *this* weekend!

OK, so *technically* summer isn't over until September 21, but since school is either back in session or close to it, Labor Day weekend has always been the unofficial end of the sweetest season. If you don't have plans yet for this weekend, don't fret—you can throw an epic end-of-summer party in no time with Girls' Life's tips.

The decorations
The easy route? Balloons! Stop by your local party goods store and peep their summer-themed options. We bet the super-summery balloons are on sale since most stores are clearing their shelves for the fall!

If you're feeling a little more crafty, this idea is super cute: Hang Christmas lights around your party area (you can have a parent help you string them on your fence for an outdoor bash, or around the living room for an indoor party). Then, print your fave photos of you and your friends from this summer. Use clothespins to hang them on your light strands. Your friends will love the walk down memory lane as you relive summer's highlights!

The food
Nothing says summer like watermelon! This fresh take on our fave fruit is genius: Slice watermelon, then use cookie cutters to carve cute shapes into the melon. Remove shapes, then fill with a different fruit!

More of a chocolate fan? These hand-dipped ice cream sandwiches are easy to make and super yummy. If you're low on time, buy ready-made sandwiches and just do the dipping part yourself to jazz them up.
