Fool-proof chocolate chip banana bread


I've been baking this banana bread for over 10 years, and never once have I messed it up. It is, without fail, the most delicious breakfast-y easy-bake bread you can make, and seriously, it doesn't get cinchier than this.

Ingredients:

3 ripe bananas

1 cup sugar

1 egg

1 1/2 cups flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/4 cup melted butter

Optional: 4 to 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips 

Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F. 

2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas with a fork. Stir in the remaining ingredients just until completely combined.

3. Pour into a greased 8 1/2-inch by 4 1/2-inch loaf pan.

4. Bake for 1 hour. Test with a toothpick--you want very few crumbs to cling to it. Allow bread to coll for 20 minutes before removing it from the pan by inverting it on a plate.

Note: You can also make 12 regular-sized muffins. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
