4 easy microwave meals that'll make life so much easier

 

You know those days when you’re really craving something but don’t want to make an entire batch just to satisfy your craving? Maybe you’re the only one home and you don’t want to make an entire pan, or maybe you’re just trying to be healthy and you know if you make multiple servings you will eat the ENTIRE pan. Whatever your reason, sometimes, we just want a little taste of something totally delicious. That's why we've scoured the internet for some tasty mug meals you can make right in your microwave. Here's 4 of our fave insta-appetizing meals you just gotta try.

    Cup ‘o cookie

    When you’re waiting for cookies to bake, 15 minutes feels like an eternity. This ooey-gooey mug cookie is just as satisfying and only takes 50 seconds.

    Ingredients:

    • 3 tablespoons flour
    • 1 tablespoon sugar
    • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
    • 1 egg yolk
    • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
    • Pinch of salt
    • 1 tablespoon butter
    • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

    Directions:

    1. Melt butter in mug.
    2. Add sugar and brown sugar, salt, and vanilla extract and combine.
    3. Mix in egg yolk.
    4. Pour in flour and chocolate chips
    5. Pop in microwave for 60 seconds.
    6. Curl up with a blanket, a good book, and enjoy!

    Magnificent mug macaroni

    If you're a fan of any cheesy-goodness, some days you just need some pasta smothered in cheese. This easy-to-make mug meal will do trick.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 cup of water
    • ½ cup macaroni
    • ½ cup shredded cheese
    •  

    Directions:

    1. Combine ½ cup macaroni noodles and 1 cup of water in mug.
    2. Microwave for 2 minutes; take out and stir
    3. Microwave for 3 minutes; take out and stir (add more water if necessary)
    4. Microwave for 3 minutes.
    5. Add ½ cup shredded cheese to the macaroni even if some water still remains in mug.
    6. If the cheese hasn’t melted, microwave mug for 30-60 more seconds.
    7. Enjoy the perfect size serving of your fave comfort food!

    Quick quiche

    In less than a minute, you’ll have a hearty breakfast that’ll have you ready to face that math test with confidence!

    Ingredients:

    • 1 egg
    • 1/8 cup Bread
    • 2 Cherry/grape tomatos
    • 1 ½ tablespoons Whole milk
    • 1 teaspoon melted butter
    • 1 tablespoon shredded cheese
    •  

    Directions:

    1. Cut up 2 grape/cherry tomatoes
    2. Melt butter in mug.
    3. Crack 1 egg on top of butter in mug.
    4. Add milk.
    5. Add a dash of salt and paper.
    6. Take a fork and poke the yolk. Whisk the mixture until there are no large white pieces left.
    7. Add ½ cup shredded cheese.
    8. Toss in cut tomatoes
    9. Pop in microwave on high for 1 minute
    10. Relax while eating your mouth-watering one-minute quiche.

    French toast frenzy

    Running late for school but still want something super delicious to kick start your day? This French toast only takes 2 minutes (we're not kidding) and you can eat it in the car as mom drives you to school.  

    Ingredients:

    • 1 ½ slices of bread
    • 3 tablespoons milk
    • 1 Egg
    • Butter
    • Cinnamon
    • Syrup

    Directions:

    1. Soften some butter and coat the sides of a large mug.
    2. Cut bread up in cubes and place in mug.
    3. In separate bowl, crack one egg, add 3 tablespoon milk, and sprinkle some cinnamon; whisk together with a fork.
    4. Pour mixture over the bread in the large mug and allow mixture to seep into bread for a minute.
    5. Put in microwave for 1 minute.
    6. Add ten second increments until the egg is no longer runny and the toast is cooked to your liking.
    7. When done, add some syrup and enjoy!
