Step 1: Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Butter an 18 x 13 inch sheet pan.

Step 3: Use an electric mixer on high speed to cream together the butter and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy. On medium speed, add the eggs (2 at a time), and then add the sour cream and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.

Step 4: Mix together the flour, cornstarch, salt and baking soda in a separate bowl. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and stir until combined (make sure the electric mixer is on low speed!). Pour into pan and bake for 20-30 minutes. Cool to room temperature.

Step 5: For the icing, combine the butter, cream cheese, sugar and vanilla extract into a bowl. Use an electric mixer to stir until smooth.

Step 6: Spread part of the icing on top of the cooled cake to cover it, and then outline the shape of the flag with a toothpick. Fill the upper left corner with blueberries (to mimick the flag's stars), and then place two rows of raspberries across the top of the cake (to mimick the flag's stripes). Put the remaining icing in a frosting bag and pipe two rows of stripes below the raspberries. Alternate rows of raspberries and frosting until you reach the bottom of the cake.

And that's it! All that's left is to serve your flag cake and enjoy the 4th of July, Taylor Swift style.
