Don't want to freeze? 10 things not to do this winter
#1. Work out outside without protecting your extremities. Gloves, mittens, earmuffs, hats and socks are your besties right now. Pile ‘em on (or hit the gym).
#2. Walk to the bus stop with wet hair. Haircicles aren’t cute. Or healthy.
#3. Sport flip-flops. Frostbite is no joke.
#4. Dare someone to lick a flagpole. Yes, it will get stuck and no, it isn’t funny.
#5. Go for a run when there is an ice warning. Trust us, you’ll hit that slick patch before you see it. Bam.
#6. Lick your lips. They’ll get wicked cracked. Instead, slather on the lip balm.
#7. Disregard Dad’s admonition to bring a scarf. Worst that happens is ya don’t wear it, right?
#8. Stay in sweaty clothes. It’ll make you feel chillier than you should.
#9. Ignore your body. Your body shivers to produce heat. When you stop shivering when it’s super cold out, you could be experiencing early hypothermia.
#10. Wear soaked shoes. Opt for waterproof so ya don’t get hurt.
