Would you wear a "wearable"?

The market for fitness gear has exploded lately. We’re not talking about the yoga pants craze (or the crazy cool shoes Nike’s been making lately). Nope, we’re talking about the “wearable” phenomenon.

A wearable is a fitness gadget that tracks a bunch of different statistics as you work out or go about your daily life. It can track your heart rate, the number of steps you take, how efficiently you’re moving—all sorts of things. And everyone from Samsung to Fitbit to Garmin to Under Armour is making them. You can find them online and at your favorite sporting goods store for anywhere from $25 to over $150.

They’re funky looking things, too. Some are watch-like. Some are armbands. Some are built in to your earbuds or even into your workout clothes. Some have coordinating mobile apps so you can keep on tracking when you have your phone on you.

They’re hugely popular. But would YOU wear one? Tell us in the comments, cuties!
