10 things every track girl can relate to

When you signed up for track team, you were so excited for all the positives: You’d be in shape, you’d bond with your teammates, you’d have a blast—but with those ups come some serious down, such as long practices, little time for homework and sore muscles all. the. time. But put together, the ups and downs make for one really rewarding experience. You go through things that your lacrosse, basketball and soccer friends just don't understand. Like...

1. You hit the hay the night before a meet and suddenly realize you're running in *way* too many events

2. So you get on the bus the next morning and use any excuse possible to get out of them

3. But you still end up in line for your events

4. As soon as you start the 400

5. As soon as you finish the 400

6. When you realize you still have two more events to go

7. So you go warm-up for your next event

8. Then when you’re finally done running...

9. ...and you can eat all the snacks the captain’s mom brought for the team

10. When you get home and are supposed to start homework
