Too Much Hair Down There

How do I get rid of hair down there when it’s past my underwear line and when it gets really long? I tried shaving but I get red bumps and I tried snipping it but it takes a long time. Is this normal? What should I do?

This is somethin’ we all have to deal with, so you’re not alone! If you want to remove hair down there (and keep in mind—there’s no rule sayin’ you have ta), there are a few ways to do it.

SHAVING

You’re right—shaving can cause razor burn, which hurts and looks icky. To avoid razor burn, make sure to use shaving cream (pick one for sensitive skin), wait ‘til you’ve been in the shower for five minutes, so the hair is soft, and shave in the direction the hair grows. Still not workin’? Try waxing.

WAXING
There are DIY waxes that you can buy at the pharmacy, (Sally Hansen has a few kinds) but you should check with you mom first and probably have her help ya. Or you can go to the salon (again, ask Mom!) and have it done for ya. Just don’t go during your period, ‘cause your skin will be more sensitive. You can take an Advil ahead of time to lower the pain.
HAIR REMOVAL CREAMS

Also hit the pharmacy for this less painful approach. Hair removal creams aren’t always as successful, depending on your hair, but there are several to choose from including Sally Hansen, Nair, Veet and Nads.

Good luck, girl!
