Your Bod

Why do I have stretch marks?

I have stretch marks on my breasts. My mom says it's normal. Is it really, and what causes them?
Don’t worry—it IS normal. Stretch marks are generally caused by rapid weight gain or loss, so in your teen years when you’re growing, it’s not uncommon to have 'em.

What can ya do about it? Moisturize. Your skin will stretch easier as it grows if it’s hydrated. Check out our picks for good winter moisturizers or find one for extra-dry skin. Shea butter is always a good bet. Other than that, just wait it out--your bod's growth will slow down, and your stretch marks will go buh-bye.
