My deodorant makes me itch! Am I allergic?
You may be. Most of the time, this kind of reaction is caused by a sensitivity to chemicals creating the scent in your stick, says Dr. Vivan W. Bucay, a dermatologist and assistant clinical professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. And those labeled unscented may still feature some fragrances that’ll bother sensitive skin. So avoid that annoying itch with a hypoallergenic and fragrance-free product, like Tom’s of Maine Fragrance-Free Deodorant Stick or Almay Clear Gel Fragrance Free.
