I was at the mall with my friends trying on bathing suits. I had just put on a really cute but super expensive bikini when I felt something wet in my bottoms. I had gotten my period for the first time and it totally leaked through the suit! I apologized to the salesperson, but she said I had to buy the stained suit because they couldn’t keep it like that. (All my birthday money down the drain!) Plus, none of my friends had any pads, so I had to ask the lady at the register if she had any—it was pretty much the worst day of my life.
