Blush Much

Name game gone wrong

While walking into my Journalism class on the first day of eighth grade, I felt a sense of excitement. The desks were all lined up in a row, and I knew we were going to play some sort of introduction game and those were always a blast! The game was, you had to think of an adjective that began with the first letter of your name ( examples: Ecstatic Eliza, Menacing Megan, Merry Megan, etc.), but by the time it was my turn, all the good 'L' words had been taken. Frantically, I tried to think of a decent 'L' adjective, but I blurted out "Lumpy Lizzy". Laughing along with the class, I decided to accept my temporary nickname...although it was not as temporary as I thought. As it turns out, the name stuck! EVERYBODY ( including my teachers!) calls me Lumpy! I'm positive that some kids actually think my name is Lumpy! I guess you could say I made a memorable first impression!
