Sometimes people do stupid things by mistake…sticking metal objects into toasters and electrical sockets are a few of them. Sometimes there are instances when wires and cables fall into pools or ponds. All of these most definitely result in electric shock. You’re first instinct will be to grab the person and pull them away, DON'T DO IT. Electricity wants to go into the ground as fast as possible and it can flow from one person to another. The best thing to do is to first unplug whatever it is that is shocking them or turn off the power source. If you cannot do this, then find a broom handle or a plastic ice scraper, anything without metal, and push the person away from the electrical source, then call 911.
