Balance is back, bb! Your Libra season 2021 horoscope

School is back, sports are back, extracurrics are back, busy weekends are back...need we say more?

Yep, it's easy to be really excited to do all the things you missed out on last year...but also to feel incredibly overwhelmed.

Luckily, the zodiac season best equipped to help us navigate all the options—Libra—is with us from Sept. 22 to Oct. 22. Represented by a set of scales, Libra evokes balance. But at the same time, it’s a super social sign. So if you suddenly find yourself organizing your days to get the maximum amount of fun and connection out of them, thank Libra.

That could mean being the first one to make plans (rather than waiting for an invite) or getting at least some of your paper done before Friday so you can actually enjoy the weekend with your friends.

After the pure fun of Leo and the studious energy of Virgo, Libra season has arrived to give you the best of both worlds. Here’s how to make the most of it, according to your sign.

When Venus enters fiery Sagittarius on Oct. 7, you long for excitement and adventure. At the same time, the full moon in your sign on Oct. 20 motivates you to re-evaluate anything that hasn’t been working—and set some actionable goals and intentions. While your sign loves to think big, Libra season will push you to take a step back and focus on small, doable steps (like joining a new club) rather than trying to immediately change your life. It will allow you to accomplish so much more in the long run.

October is definitely a fun month for you. You’re feeling more outgoing and ready to rekindle some old friendships that may have fallen by the wayside. And when Juno, an asteroid associated with close bonds, enters Capricorn on Nov. 14, you’ll firm up your relationships, making it a point to check in more with the people close to you. The full moon partial lunar eclipse happens in your sign on the 19th, which will help you realize the friendships you want to prioritize and cherish the most.

You’re feeling extra-social vibes this season. On top of that, the new moon in Libra on Oct. 6 gets you reaching out to new acquaintances (which becomes even easier when Mercury, planet of communication, moves into Libra on the 18th). As great as this is, it can feel overwhelming to juggle so many hangouts and friendships. Sweetly take a step back when you need to: It’s better to spend time with fewer people (but give them your full attention) than to have 24/7 plans and not be able to stay in the moment.

With Libra season in full swing, it can feel like everyone’s having a fab time... but you. Climbing out of your crab shell can be hard: It’s against your nature to double text or initiate plans. But when the sun enters Scorpio on Oct. 23, followed by action-oriented Mars in Scorpio on the 30th, you feel compelled to go after what you want. The new moon in Scorpio on Nov. 4 helps you figure out which people you feel best with. Then it’s on you to push yourself toward the social life you’ve always wanted.

Libra season has you on the go constantly. And when Venus enters fire sign Sagittarius on Oct. 7, you’re spread even thinner. This makes it harder to enjoy everything you’re doing. Caution: The burnout will be real if you don’t take stock of your sitch. When the full moon arrives in Aries on the 20th, make it a point to intentionally stay home (or at least take it a little easier) so that you can figure out what truly makes you happy—and what just fills up free space that could be better used for rest.

Virgo season a month ago set you on a productive path, which means you’re probably overworking yourself rn. And not just at school—it can be tied to friendships where you feel drained after every hang. Although some people aren’t the best at reciprocating support, usually your friends just can’t tell you need help. When Juno, an asteroid of close bonds, enters Capricorn on Nov. 14, it pushes you to finally lean on your crew. On the 19th, the full moon partial lunar eclipse in Taurus helps you determine which people you trust most.

Your October can be summed up in one word: thriving. With the sun in your sign until the 22nd, you’re already feeling your best. But add the new moon in Libra (exciting new beginnings) on the 6th and Mercury in Libra (communication boost) on the 18th? The term “social butterfly” is an understatement when describing you. You tend to prioritize fun,
so the balance you need is getting other things (like homework) out of the way— then you can fully enjoy your life without a big paper looming over your head.

Libra season is upping our social life, but being so focused on others may mean you’re neglecting your own needs. When the sun enters your sign on Oct. 23 (followed by action-focused Mars on the 30th), it inspires you to take stock. This is the time to remove any clutter, be it physical (looking at you, messy closet) or mental (that unresolved friend fight). Whatever it is, assess before the new moon is in your sign on Nov. 4, which ushers in some big and bold changes. Make sure you’re ready for them!

As a social sign, Libra season is your jam. When Venus enters Sag on Oct. 7, you’re ready for big changes. But being such a go-go-go sign, it’s easy to feel scattered when it comes to your ambitions. Ground yourself by journaling each day, even if it’s just a sentence about what made you happy. It’s a simple but powerful tool to help you track what works for you. That way, when the sun enters your sign on Nov. 21 (followed by Mercury on the 24th), you’ll know exactly where to place your efforts and energy.

Capricorn is a self-assured, confident sign. It’s no surprise that Libra season is a breeze when you’re used to people reaching out and inviting you to everything. But when Juno (the asteroid repping tight relationships) enters your sign on Nov. 14, it makes you look deeper into which bonds truly feel strong. The full moon partial lunar eclipse in Taurus on the 19th inspires you to brainstorm ways to both meet new people and reconnect with old friends (even if it means being vulnerable and taking the initiative).

Libra season already has you feeling inspired—which is great, because this is a big month for you! Two major planets enter your sign: Saturn (structure) on Oct. 10, and Jupiter (luck) on the 18th. You’re the most focused, optimistic version of yourself right now, which means it’s the best time to pursue something you’ve always dreamed of trying but were nervous about. Maybe it’s joining the paper or band or track—or even just taking a leadership position in something you currently do. This is the time to take risks!

When the sun enters Scorpio on Oct. 23, you can feel an urge to withdraw, especially after social Libra season. Take time to yourself, but be mindful of how you spend it. Find yourself mindlessly scrolling social media, only to feel worse? Action-packed Mars in Scorpio on the 30th can push you to examine these unhelpful habits—as well as prioritize time away from screens. The new moon in Scorpio on Nov. 4 pushes you to set intentions and boundaries around free time so it actually enriches and recharges you.
