Father's Day Faves: 5 easy ways to make your dad's day

Father's Day is right around the corner which means it's time for the most difficult shopping excursion of the year. Trying to find the perfect gift for your dad can be rough because who even know what he likes, what he wants or what he does or doesn’t already have! Don’t stress, though, because we've got you covered. Here’s a list of easy gifts you make yourself or do with your dad that won’t break the bank:

DIY Mason Jar

You can pick up a glass jar like this from most craft stores for under $15. Once you buy the jar, decorate it with scrapbook stickers and ribbon. You can make it have some type of theme like Western or tropical, depending on what your dad likes. What really makes this prezzie great? Fill the jar with his favorite candy— or go-to healthy snack (especially if your dad is a health nut like mine!).

DIY Picture Collage

For this gift, print out some pictures of you and your dad. You can put them on a poster in the shape of a heart or circle and write “Happy Father’s Day” around the pictures, or you can even have the pictures spell "DAD" like in the picture above. Pro tip: black posters work better because the color of the photo pops more intensely than for white posters.

Breakfast in Bed
Sometimes, the simplest gifts are the best ones. Wake up early this Sunday and make your dad his favorite breakfast. If you are a savvy cook in the kitchen, you can whip him up eggs, pancakes and bacon. If you—like me—are not a whiz in the kitchen, you can just bring him a bowl of his favorite cereal and some coffee. Your dad will really appreciate you waking up and thinking of him. Trust!

Day outdoors with dad
If you don’t have time to make your dad anything and can’t get out of bed before 8, spend the day with him! If it's sunny, celebrate by having a pool party. You can buy him a cool floaty and a new speaker (both from T.J.Maxx!) to play some sweet tunes, have a BBQ and relax with the number one guy in your life. If the weather is bad, ask him to go to lunch and a movie or grab some frozen yogurt with him. It's all about making him feel extra special!
