How to start using the Law of Attraction for 2022

Whether you're the queen of affirmations or have never heard of manifestation, the Law of Attraction is something you deserve to know about—it's life changing. This *magical* law is the idea that whatever you put out into the universe (through manifesting or shifting your thoughts and actions according to what you want), you get in return. Essentially, you have the power to create any future and make your dreams a reality (as long as you actively work towards it). Here are the top ways to start implementing the Law of Attraction into your life!

Affirmations

Affirmations are powerful and positive statements that play an integral role in using the Law of Attraction. Create affirmations by simply turning your dreams and goals into present-tense statements (ex: "I am confident," "I am magnetic," and "I have good grades in school"). Find time to repeat them each day whether you say them aloud in the mirror before school or write them in your journal before bed. According to a study, affirmations decrease stress and are proven to shift mindsets.

Shift your thoughts

The Law of Attraction is *all* about your thoughts. Imani K., 15, a devoted user of the Law of Attraction, told us exactly how to implement the practice: "The Law of Attraction is a vicious cycle that's basically surrounded around your mindset. I've realized over the years that your thought has to be so insanely focused and centered on what you want to happen that you basically live by it. We are in full control of everything that happens in our life because it's based on our thoughts."

Next time you notice a negative thought pattern, reassess and turn it into something positive; this practice is also called mindfulness. If you notice that you're telling yourself you aren't good at math, try to shift this thought to "I will be good at math after I study." If you feel stuck or sad, know that it's only momentary: "I am meant to be where I am right now."

Write it out

According to the Law of Attraction, practicing gratitude can help you recognize all that you are grateful for (from the bigger moments to the smaller details). Gratitude is taking the time to notice, appreciate and write about it. This also includes writing about your dreams and goals as if you've already accomplished them. The more you visualize something in greater detail, the more likely it is to show up in your life.

Make a vision board

Similar to writing in detail, visual reminders of your goals can help attract them into your life. Print pictures of your biggest dreams (like studying abroad, getting your dream job in the city or adopting a pet) and hang them up where you'll see them each day. This will remind you of what you're working toward.

Take action

No matter how much you visualize your dreams and goals, the only way to truly accomplish them is through taking action. Whether your goal is to get into a dream school or to hit a million followers on TikTok, if you continue to work toward it, you can trust that the universe has your back.
