The Perfect Mid-Summer Pedicure for Pennies

If you’ve been scuffing around in flip-flops all summer, your tootsies are prob in need of some major TLC. Here are some super-simple (not to mention affordable!) ways to pamper those peds.

Do a DIY Soak
Salon pedis are crazy-expensive and you can get the ahh-worthy feeling at home. Fill a basin with warm water. Then, add some Epsom salt (you can buy it at the drugstore). Here’s the best part: Add some flower petals or lavender stems to perfume the H20. Hang out for 10 minutes and soak it up.

Get Buff
Quickly get rid of dead skin with a pumice stone or any sugar scrub you’ve got hangin’ around. We dig how this bitty buffer is loaded with good-for-ya oils. Concentrate on tough spots (hello, heels!) and then rinse feet. Use a fluffy towel to wipe ’em dry.

Hydrate
We’re suckers for shea butter, which will nourish your skin. Don’t want to shell out for a new lotion? Use whatever moisturizer you have lyin’ around to soften those puppies. Get in the habit of applying lotion every time you get outta the shower.

Pump Up Your Polish
Getting slightly sick of your summer polish collection? We hear ya, which is why we’re slightly obsessed with CND’s Effect polishes. They change the finish on the colors you already own. Brilliant! Play around to uncover the coolest combo (we like these purple sparkles on top of black).
