Five (more) fun facts about Hutch Dano
In our August/September issue (on stands now), 18-year-old cutie Hutch Dano spilled six fun facts about himself. In honor of his movie Den Brother, premiering TONIGHT at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the Disney Channel, we asked him for five more—straight from the film’s Utah set.
1. He had no idea how to play ice hockey, despite his character being a hockey star!
“I never played ice hockey. I trained for about two and a half months for this movie.”
2. His best friend is named Alex, just like his character in Den Brother.
3. He loves to organize his room.
“It doesn’t get messy enough to where it’s that big of a disaster. I just know where everything needs to be. It’s no mess, I just have to find a way to get everything back to where it was.”
4. His favorite band is Led Zepplin.
“They’re killer. They’re a great band. When it comes to stuff like that, I like to rock out to something, so it’s great to have. I have all of their hits.”
5. He’s a big softie…who loves romantic comedies!
Psst…when we hung out with Hutch, he dished about dressing as a woman for a super-hilarious Den Brother scene. We have photographic evidence, gals, that this is in fact true!

Hutch plays Alex Pearson, a self-centered teen hockey star who gets way more than he bargained for once an incident on the ice costs him a slot as the stand-in leader to his little sister Emily’s Bumble Bee troop. In real life, though, Hutch is as sweet as pie. Don’t believe us? See for yourself…

“He’s my best friend to this day. That’s the biggest thing I learned in school; the relationships that I had with a of couple people. It’s not that I didn’t learn, but I would say that the relationships were something that I really found important.”
