We Tried It: A Workout DVD You'll Actually Do

It’s happened to all of us: Ya buy a workout DVD (or a yoga mat or...) and it promptly collects dust in your closet. So annoying. The best exercise DVD I’ve tried in ages and know I’ll actually stick with? Tone It Up’s One Day Fast Blast, which is made up of two 30-minute butt-kicking workouts. Trainer’s Karena and Katrina show you tons of new moves and stay upbeat (but not too cheery—phew) throughout the DVD. They combine cardio and light weights, so you’ll sweat it out and work your entire bod. The trainers are super fun, so you feel more like you’re working out with a friend, as opposed to some fitness wacko.

I consider myself pretty athletic and I was sweating after a few minutes of training. The ultimate test, though? I was actually sore the next day. It hurt to laugh, which a seriously good sign. The girls whip through the moves a little quickly, so if you’ve never really trained before, you might find yourself re-watching their explanations. Otherwise, I’m psyched to say I found a new way to mix up my routine on those days when I don’t want to run but need more of a boost than yoga. Check it out, chicas.
