Emotion Explosion


I just got my first period and I was really nervous about it, but I had a pad in my bag so I thought I would be fine at school. At the beginning of third period, I noticed I was starting to leak through my pad. I raised my hand and asked if I could go to the nurse, but my (guy) teacher kept on asking me why it was so urgent that I go to the nurse. He spent like five minutes ranting about how I couldn’t go if I didn’t tell him why. My emotions were a mess so I exploded: “I got my period, OK?!” It was dead silent after that and I was mortified. And all my guy friends and my teacher are too embarrassed to talk to me.
