A cool kit for DIY massage

In the Dec/Jan issue of GL we reported on some cool methods for de-stressing at home. A few weeks later, some friends in the PR biz invited me to check out a workshop on DIY massage with yoga guru Jill Miller. After, they sent over a cool kit with two rubber balls and a DVD — available here! — on how to use ’em to work all the kinks outta your back.

If you’ve ever studied yoga, you know that your bod stores stress and bad vibes in all sortsa crazy places (like your back and hips). By rolling around on two rubber balls you can ease some of the built-up tension. Jill Miller talks you through relaxation techniques and you’ll be surprised about how much you can learn about anatomy (not to geek out, but it’s seriously cool).

When you’re doing self-massage you have to way careful to follow the directions at hand—your back is filled with a ton of nerves and you don’t wanna mess anything up. But if you follow Jill Miller’s awesome advice, you can so be on your way to less stress. The kit doesn’t take up much space, so you could pack it in your duffle for a weekend away. Mine is definitely coming along on my holiday travels.
