Meant To Be: An original poem
Hey babes! Here’s an original poem from a GL reader, JIC. Leave your critiques in the comments please!
Meant To Be
He loved me,
This is true.
When he loved me,
Where were you?
He cared,
I promise you.
I don't know why he left,
But it certainly wasn't for you.
See, me and him,
We may not have been meant to be.
But to anyone it is clear to see,
We shared something, I know he cared for me.
There were times when we would walk,
Just me and him.
Oh, how we'd talk,
Do you have that?
He would look at me,
And I'd feel his arms as they wrapped around me.
He'd whisper in my ear,
Just how much he loved me.
Then one day,
He had become distant.
But our break up was drawn out,
He cared for more than an instant.
But you did not see,
You did not notice how much he cared for me.
So I know now you like him,
But please let me be?
Whatever you do,
Make him happy.
He may not remember,
But show him the same times that he had with me.
For I know that if he finds comfort in another,
He will surely see.
Just how much I meant to him,
And how much his love meant to me.
