Teen Wolf secrets from Holland Roden

You’ve already heard about the hotties of MTV’s new TV series Teen Wolf from our June/July cover girl, Crystal Reed. But there’s another leading lady that will be heating up the screen when the show premieres tonight right after the 2011 MTV Movie Awards.

Holland Roden plays Lydia Martin, the most popular gal at school and GF to Jackson, Scott’s biggest rival. But when newfound teen wolf Scott transforms into the star lacrosse player, Lydia’s eyes start to wander his way.

We caught up with Holland and had her spill some more deets on the fang-tastic new series. Read on…

GL: How would you describe Lydia?
Holland: I like to think she is Tracy Flick [from Election] meets Violet from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. She’s more bratty than the queen bee at school and I love that she is calculated, but we’re not really sure what her intentions are.

You play Colton Haynes’ girlfriend on the show. Did he do any crazy things to you while filming down in Atlanta, Georgia?
[Yes]. Colton calls them “Hollandisms” and I don’t know why, but I would just start talking randomly about my day and he started recording them. We would be rock climbing and he would record me falling and being scared of heights and then send [the videos] to all the executives at MTV. There’s no speedy way out on Teen Wolf.

Did you hang with any of the other castmembers when you weren’t working?
[My costars] Tyler Posey and Dylan O’Brien are amazing musicians. We would have little jam sessions at their apartment where we would congregate, eat Pizza Bites, play music and do improv games. They were obsessed with Uncrustables [too].

Teen Wolf is spin off the ’80s hit movie of the same name. If you could live in any decade right now, which would it be and why?
The 1960s. It was a great time for fashion, but also the most progressive time for women in our current society.

If you were to be given a superlative in a yearbook right now, which do you think you’d get?
Spastic and self-deprecating. Of course everyone has an ego, but I really do laugh at myself. I do the dumbest things and don’t mean to but you’ve just gotta roll with it.

So why should we check out Teen Wolf tonight?
If you love cute guys and great stunts that are real, by the way [then you should tune in]. It’s an emotional roller coaster through horror and romance.

Be sure to tune in for the premiere of Teen Wolf tonight…then come back and let us know your thoughts.
