Are you a top volunteer? Get recognized!

Do you use your talents to help others?  Can you be found after school running bake sales for charity, playing games with residents at a retirement home or working on your own special volunteer project?  Then you deserve the chance to be celebrated for your service!

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards is an annual program that recognizes middle level and high school students for their outstanding community service.  Two students from each state are chosen as State Honorees, and receive $1,000 and an all-expense-paid trip to the awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.  At the next ceremony, which will be held from May 5 through 8, 2012, 10 students will be recognized as National Honorees, making them America’s top-10 youth volunteers of the year.  These winners will receive additional prizes, including $5,000 for themselves and a $5,000 grant for the nonprofit, charitable organization of their choice.  Awesome!

How to apply:

- If you are a student in grades 5 through 12, you can complete an application online at spirit.prudential.com or www.nassp.org/spirit.
