Live from London, it's opening night! 10 ways to have a blast

Banish boredom with your best girl friends, some LOL-worthy activities and a legendary show straight from Londontown. Rumor has it we’ll be seeing everything from Mary Poppins to Voldemort tonight. What will you bring to the party?

Make tea. Sip it in quaint tea cups—pinkies out!—and serve with itty bitty teacakes and sammies.

Ring it. Pile on your favorite pieces of ring bling and get snap-happy.

Hoop star. Push the living room furniture to the side and bring in the hula hoops! As the athletes parade across the small screen, see which of your sweeties scores gold in a hula-hoop challenge.

Bingo! Grab some blank pieces of paper and create a bingo card grid. Fill the spaces with likely happenings: bored athletes, crying athletes, athletes holding video cameras, slacking flag bearers, ridic-looking berets—anything and everything you can think of. First one to score five across—or four corners—wins a prize.

Get posh. Try out your best British accent.

Podium proud. Grab a soapbox, a faux medal and a pile of posies and practice your best “that’s right, I won this thing!” speech. On camera, please.

Pick o’ the litter. Select which athletes you’d like to hang with, train with, room with, slow dance with—M*A*S*H-style.

Crowning glory. Grab a few plain headbands, piles of old magazines and odds and ends from your craft box. With the help of a hot glue gun, craft Olympic-themed crowns you can don whenever you watch the games.

Paint pro. Ask your buds to bring over their nail polish stashes and go to town. Try out flags, rings, words, London landmarks, even the mascots!

Do you dare? Up the anty on your typical game of truth or dare with some medal-worthy whoppers. Our pick: We dare ya to paint your face Team USA-style…and where the look all night long—and that includes when ya head down the street to pick up your pizza!
