"She Wants Hope" - An original poem

“She Wants Hope"

A delicate feather

A shard of glass

She didn’t know whether

She belonged among the vast

She yearned for love

But her world felt dark

Wishing on the stars above

She wished for a happy heart

Throughout her life

There was no light

Even in the place she slept every night

Insults, screaming, and hopelessness cut through her like a knife

She chose to stay strong

With the protection of a wall

She was able to hide her life for so long

Until she was alone then her facade will fall

With this everlasting trouble

She tries to cope

At least until she can find herself among the rubble

And find the light of hope
