Pluck to Perfection!

Help! My eyebrows are unruly! How do I get 'em defined without overplucking?

Eyebrows are tricky things to tame. Plus, you gotta find a shape that flatters your face—and resist the urge to overpluck. Whew! Get the perfect pluck with our ultimate eyebrow guide!

1. On Your Marks...
Hold a white eyeliner pencil vertically against the side of your nose. With the pencil, gently mark the spot where the tip of it meets your brows. Next, tilt the pencil on a diagonal so that the tip falls on the outer corner of your eye. Mark that spot. Voila! You've got the starting points for your brand-new brows.

2. Connect the Dots
Use the same white eyeliner stick to mark the highest point on the bottom of your eyebrow's arch. Connect the three dots to mimic your brow's natural top curve. Go over the line a couple of times to get a good outline. Repeat on your other eyebrow.

3. Get Plucky
Any hairs fall outside that line? Start plucking at the inner edge of your line and work it to the tail. Switch between brows every few plucks to make sure you stay even. Step back in the mirror and check your brows to make sure you plucked all those pesky strays!

Use a slant tip tweezer to keep the ouch factor down.

4. Fill 'Er Up
Use a brow pencil and powder to fill in any gaps. Use the pencil in short, light strokes to define the inner edge of your brow and fill in any less-than-full areas. Apply the brow powder with an angled brush, starting at the inner corner. Run the brush gently through your brows to even it out and finish it off.

Don't forget to match your brow color to your brow pencil color!
Brow powder should be the same too...this is one of those times when mix and match is a bad choice!
