The Hills Recap: Cat Fight

It was a sad episode for the Pratt family. The Hills' favorite brother-and-sister team got mixed up in all kinds of craziness last night. We started out with the troubled twosome, Spencer and Stephanie, chatting about Heidi's trip home to Colorado, where she bumped into her ex. Stephanie was more than happy to spill the beans to Spencer, who started making his own plans to go out. Who's side are you on, Steph?

When Heidi comes home from her family trip, she and Spencer chat the recent news of exs Colby and Stacie. Spencer totally spins the situation, as usual, making Heidi look like the bad guy for running into her ex. He stays totally quiet on the subject of Stacie though, and lies about having gone to see her a second time. Shady, Spencer!

Meanwhile, back at People’s Revolution, L.C.'s boss gives her the OK to find a new intern to replace Whitney. Lauren immediately thinks of Stephanie and sets her up for an interview. Stephanie enters looking aces but admits to being nervous (strike one!). She hands Kelly a folded resume then tells her she doesn't really want a career in public relations, but would love to take the knowledge and use it for her own handbag designs (strike two!). After a painful two minutes with Kelly, she tells Steph that she isn't ready to start "with this resume, honey!" (Ouch—strike three!) Surprisingly though, Kelly tells Lauren to take Steph as an intern but, "if she messes up, it's on you!" Uh oh, if Lauren likes her job, she better think carefully about bringing Stephanie in!

The other Pratt decides to let off some steam that night by meeting up with look-alike friend, Charlie. The two meet up with Stacie and her girls. As if by some mental connection, Stephanie tells Heidi that they should totally do a girl’s night and seek out Spencer. She picks the place and, of course, it's the exact spot Spencer is at. Here comes the drama!

Heidi stalks over to the table, mortified, and gets in a screaming match with Mustache Charlie, who seems to have become Spencer's bodyguard over the night! Of course the girls get into it and Stacie, who was all rooting for Heidi last week, picks her side with Spencer. The next morning, Heidi and Steph review, and even though she's Spencer's sister, Steph is with on board with asking Spencer to hit the road or go to a couples therapist. Armed with new confidence, a teetering pair of heels and a really cute side bun in her hair, Heidi meets Spencer for lunch. Heidi lays down the law telling Spencer that either they go see a therapist, or they break up. Giving everyone chills, she tells the nosy waiter who has appeared at their table, "were done," and walks away. Poor Heidi.

So what do you think? Is Heidi really done with Spencer or will she go back to him again? Do you have a friend like Heidi who is drawn to the wrong guys again and again? And what about Steph? How do you think she'll do in her new internship at People's Revolution?
