I'm sometimes known as the "smart girl" amongst my friends and I'm really not! I am smart, but I don't know everything. People are like you should know this answer, and just expect me to know everything. How do I break out of my shell and be the smart, outgoing person that I am?

Hey, babe! So your peers think you're some super-shy-out-of-this-world-genius-chick, huh? And that's all, they think? Psshh!

Girl, don't let them stop you from being who you are! You need to show them that you're not who they think you are by being yourself at school. Don't simply accept that you are the "smart girl" and play the part. Play YOUR part. Be you!

It might be kind of awkward at first, but start slow! Even if you start being outgoing and yourself by raising your hand more often in class during discussions, personally inviting people to each lunch with you at your table or simply walking with loads of confidence and attitude down the hallways!
