ED BLOG: Training for my Half-marathon

One month from today, I’ll be running the Baltimore Half-Marathon. Yep, 13.1 miles of hills, blisters and a whole lot of fun. Confession: I’m already soo nervous, it’s insane. Do you fret far in advance of big sporting events?

It’s time to get prepared. Obviously, I have to run. A TON. But there are some other sneaky things I’m gonna do to up my game.

Get in gear.

My running sneakers are a year old, and have seen more miles than I’d like to admit. If I buy new kicks this weekend, there ‘s plenty of time to break ’em in. And, yeah, they’re pricey but my feet need the love.

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.

It’s time to guzzle H20, big time. Gulping water is such an easy thing to do, and it makes me feel a million times better during long runs.

Bulk up.
Lately, my routine has been light on the weights. But if I wanna really rock it next month, I’m gonna have to be seriously strong. Time to search through old GL workout ideas (At-Home Gym) and get to it!

So, girlies, do you have any secrets tricks to help you prepare for tryouts, races, big games or auditions? Spill below, I need to know!

Healthy hearts,
Katie
