Crazy-easy (and quick!) runway-inspired braids

Need a new way to twist up long locks? Take a cue from the runways and step out in pretty braids. Our three faves take minutes to do, and look great will all of your cozy fall outfits.

Bonus: the less time ya spend doing your hair means more minutes in bed. Yay for more beauty sleep!

A High Sporty Braid

Your on-field ‘do gets stylish. Use a boar-bristle brush to smooth hair into a very high ponytail. Secure with an elastic. Separate hair into three equal sections and tightly braid it. When you’re a couple inches from the end, secure it with another elastic. Use a frizz-reducing product to get rid of flyaways. Wanna sparkle? A slim, sequined band adds just the right bit of bling.

A Low Laidback Braid

Love the boho thing? Us, too. Get hair to match your floral frocks with a low ‘n’ loose plait. Start by parting hair down the middle. Sweep locks over to one side. Separate hair into three sections. Leave a few inches of loose hair and then start braiding (at about your shoulder). Keep the “stitches” easy and free. Braid to the end and secure with an elastic.

A Braided Bun

Hair whacked out in the a.m.? Don’t let that hold ya back. Trap tresses in a tight side bun. Use a brush to coax hair into a low side pony. Secure with an elastic. Tightly braid hair and use a tiny elastic to secure. Wrap into bun and keep in place with an elastic or bobby pins. Wanna make it even cooler? Loop some ribbons throughout the bun!
