Exercise Can Make You Less Anxious

According to the New York Times, researchers at Princeton University found that exercise can reduce anxiety. They put rats into a stressful environment and the rodents who exercised had calmer brain activity.
A study conducted at the University of Colorado did show that while exercise can reduce anxiety, it doesn’t happen overnight. People who work out sporadically won’t feel the calming effects exercise gives to those who have four to five sweat sessions a week.

Other studies show exercise increases dopamine levels, which can leave a person feeling happier. So get jogging now, and feel way less stressed by the time finals roll around.

Blog it out... What do you think? Ever feel much calmer after you’ve been keeping up with a workout routine?
