Holiday Season Sleepover

Turkey day has gone away and holiday times are here to stay!

It's time to get super-festive with your best friends.

The winter weather isn’t always the best, so why not throw an indoor sleepover to start the season off right?

Fa-la-la-la Friendship

Buy a cheap mini-tree or see if anyone's fam has an old one lying around. Get ready girlies—it's time to create the cuh-raziest tree ever. Have each girl bring a few fabrics scraps, old trinkets, seashells glitter, glue, string and maybe some goofy pictures—anything that reminds ya of all the great times you had in 2009. Then, get creative! Wrap an old strand of beads or ribbons around the branches as "tinsel," and make all sorts of ornaments from your supplies. Tie or glue strings onto old concert tix, seashells or pics. Cut out a pic of your fave hottie (take a vote to see if it's Edward or Jacob to keep it fair-and-square!) and put him on the top as the "angel". Sigh.

Sculpt a Snowflake

Always trying to catch that one perfect snowflake? Make your own fabulous flakes out of sugar cookies. Pick up pre-made sugar cookie dough at the supermarket or DIY (here’s an easy-peasy Frosted Sugar Cookie recipe!). Shape ‘em into your desired shapes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, silver sprinkles and other snazzy décor. Pop ‘em in the oven and dip 'em in vanilla icing (homemade snow?!) if desired.

Snuggle Up

While you enjoy your snowflake snacks, pop some holiday movies into your DVD player. Some of our seasonal faves? How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, A Christmas Carol and It’s a Wonderful Life. Even better? Cook up this Sweet ‘n’ Nutty Holiday Popcorn to enjoy with your cookies while ya watch. Cuddle under a bunch of blankets to keep the chills away.

Exchange Game

Have everyone bring a cool present that's between the five-ten dollar price range or something completely homemade. Make sure that everyone wraps their gift before they get there so that when a gal opens it, what’s inside is a complete surprise. Have the gang sit in a circle and put all the presents in the middle. Draw numbers from the hat, so that one is the girl who picks a prezzie first and so on. Open up your gifts and enjoy!
