Snowboarder Hannah Teter Goes Sweet

Snowboarder Hannah Teter nabbed a gold medal in the 2006 Olympic Games. Now, she landed a new honor: Being the first female or athlete to have a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor named for her. Way to go, girl!

To make the deal even sweeter, some of the green raked in by Maple Blondie sales will go to the snowboarder’s charity, Hannah’s Gold. Hannah grew up making maple syrup and carving slopes in Vermont, and her charity sells the liquid gold and uses the money to fund projects to help orphans in Africa.

Maple Blondie hits stores later this month, while Hannah hopes to hit the slopes for the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver. Stay tuned to girlslife.com for an interview with the oh-so-fab athlete!

Blog it out babes: How will you challenge yourself? Have you ever tried snowboarding like Hannah? What would your ice cream flavor be called? We wanna know!
